Great news for prospective MacBook Pro with Retina display buyers, as shipping estimates on the next-generation notebook have now dropped to 5 – 7 days on Apple’s online retail store. The expected shipping times for the new MacBook Pro have been dropping steadily over the past month as supply of the notebook is finally beginning to meet consumer demand. Better yet, the base model MacBook Pro with Retina display is now available in new build-to-order options that can save customers from shelling out $2,799 for the high end unit.
The new MacBook Pro is ultra thin at just 0.71 inches — and just 4.46 pounds — and has a high resolution Retina display that packs 2880 x 1800 pixels across its 15.4-inch display. That’s 220 pixels per inch and 5,184,000 pixels altogether, making the new MacBook Pro the “world’s highest resolution notebook display.” The notebook also features flash architecture, dual USB 3 and Thunderbolt ports and faster Ivy Bridge processors by Intel.
