Apple No Longer Required to Post Notice About Samsung Not Copying the iPad

When a British court ruled that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab lineup of tablets are unlikely to be confused with the iPad a few weeks ago, Apple was ordered to post notices on its U.K. website and purchase advertisements in British newspapers to claim that Samsung did not in fact copy the iPad.

Apple was not pleased with this ruling, however, noting that it does not want to advertise for its competitor. Fortunately for the Cupertino-based company, it has obtained a stay on posting these notices, meaning that it will not have to post claims about Samsung on its website or in British newspapers until at least October, when it has a chance to appeal the ruling.
