Is Apple Quietly Getting Rid of Safari for Windows?

With the release of Safari 6 for OS X, Apple has quietly removed any mention of Safari for Windows from the web browser’s official feature page. Safari 6 is not available for Windows yet, nor is it clear if the latest version of the web browser will ever be available for the Microsoft operating system.

Apple has moved its download links for older versions of Safari for Windows to a dedicated support page and currently only offers up to Safari 5.1.7 on the rival platform. While the fate of Safari for Windows, which has been available since mid-2007, remains unknown, this could be the end of the line for the Apple web browser on PCs.
