Apple is set to release OS X Mountain Lion any moment now, with one rumor in particular suggesting that a Wednesday, July 25th launch is scheduled. The final “golden master” copy of OS X Mountain Lion has already been available as a developer preview for weeks, with AppleCare representatives just recently seeded the same version as they prepare for the imminent software update. The rest of us, however, are still anxiously awaiting OS X 10.8 and its over 200 new features. So, the question is, will you be making the upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion when the update is released?
OS X Mountain will be available for $19.99 from the Mac App Store for existing Snow Leopard and Lion users, while anyone that has purchased a new Mac on or after June 11, 2012 will be eligible for a free upgrade through Apple’s up-to-date program. OS X Mountain Lion includes several new features such as Notification Center, AirPlay Mirroring, Game Center, Messages for Mac, Notes, Reminders and official Twitter integration.
