Fix for Corrupted App Store Installs Coming Soon, Says Apple

iOS developer Marco Arment reported yesterday that some applications downloaded from the iOS App Store had been crashing on launch, indicating that the .ipa files had become corrupted somewhere between the developer and end user — likely App Store processing issues. At the time of writing, Apple had not confirmed the existence of an issue within their content provider, but today they replied to a post in the official Developer Forums saying that they are “aware of the issue related to apps crashing after update,” “currently working on resolving the issue,” and to “stay tuned for updates.”

Update: The Loop now reports that Apple has fixed the issue and all app installs should work perfectly.
