How to Run Android Apps on Mac OS X

BlueStacks, a Silicon Valley startup, has made running Android apps on Mac a reality with its new app player for OS X. The app player software, which debuted on Windows last year, comes preinstalled with 17 different Android apps that can be used instantly on OS X, while more apps will be added by developers each month.

Best of all, the alpha version of BlueStacks for OS X is a free download, weighing in at just over 94 MB. Once installed, the BlueStacks software automatically adds a convenient “Android Apps” folder to your dock from which you can launch your favorite apps. The current selection of apps includes Facebook, Twitter, Pulse, Basketball Shot, Air Control Lite, Robo Defense, Drag Racing, Glow Hockey and more.
