Now that it has been nearly twenty-four hours since Apple took the wraps off of iOS 6, is the new software update for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad everything you expected it would be? iOS 6 has over 200 new features highlighted by brand new Maps, improvements to Siri functionality, Facebook integration, and Passbook.
Despite those new additions, you could say that iOS 6 did not have that one impact feature such as Notification Center or iMessage in iOS 5. On the other hand, you could argue that Apple is simply enhancing an already feature-rich mobile operating system by improving upon its useful services such as Maps, Safari, Mail, Phone and Siri.
Apple also gave facelifts to the App Store, iTunes Store, and iBookstore, as well as to a number of user interface elements across iOS. Apple’s mobile platform is now more well-rounded than ever before and is definitely “the world’s most advanced mobile operating system” in my books.
What do you think about iOS 6? iOS 6 is available now as a beta for registered Apple developers, while a public release is slated for this Fall. Please remember that the buying, selling, soliciting, or sharing of UDID registrations for iOS beta downloads is strictly forbidden on the iFans forums.
