Apple announced today updates to its existing 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models. Alongside the new MacBook Pro with Retina display, which seemingly replaces the current 17-inch MacBook Pro, the 13-inch and 15-inch models below it are now faster with the latest Intel third-generation Ivy Bridge processors. The 13-inch model has a 1,280 x 800 pixels display, up to a 2.9 GHz dual-core i7 processor, dual USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, up to 8GB of RAM, Intel HD Graphics 4000 for up to 60% faster graphics, up to a 750GB hard drive, and 7 hours of battery life.
The 13-inch model starts at $1,199 with a higher specifications model available for $1,499. The 15-inch model has a 1,440 x 900 display, up to a 2.6 GHz quad-core i7 processor, dual USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, up to 8GB of RAM, up to a GeForce GT 650M 1GB chip for 60% faster graphics, up to a 750 GB hard drive, and 7 hours of battery life. The 15-inch model starts at $1,799 and the model with higher specifications costs $2,199. Both the 13-inch and 15-inch models begin shipping today, so you should be able to get your hands on one of these refreshed notebooks rather quickly.
