As usual, one of the opening segments of any Apple keynote includes the latest App Store numbers from the Cupertino-based company. At its WWDC 2012 keynote, Apple revealed some interesting numbers once again.
Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that there are over 400 million accounts on the App Store, 650,000 apps available with 225,000 specifically designed for iPad, and over 30 billion downloads. Apple has paid out over 5 billion to its developers, which is quite astounding.
The App Store is also coming to an additional 32 countries for a grand total of 155 worldwide. Tim Cook specifically ruled out North Korea, however, but the expansion is great to see nonetheless. The App Store has been a phenomenal success for Apple since it opened nearly four years ago.
