Just in case you are skeptical about the new iPhone images leaked a few weeks ago, part supplier ETrade Supply has created a new video that shows off the purported backplate of the next-generation iPhone. The video proves that the new iPhone does indeed have a unibody metal design across the back, a longer chassis for the expected 4-inch display, a smaller dock connector, redesigned speaker grills, and a thinner design altogether.
It is believed that Apple has been testing this prototype iPhone for the past several months, with a public release slated for later this Fall. Most speculation points towards a September or October launch of the next-generation iPhone, coinciding with the expected release of iOS 6. Apple seems to have transitioned away from the traditional June or July time frame for launching new iPhones, likely because a release closer to the holiday shopping season contributes to record-breaking sales. Check out the video just ahead.
