Google today released a completely redesigned version of their iPhone search app, giving it a clean new interface, improved performance, fullscreen mode to use the iPhone’s display to its full advantage, a fullscreen image search, some gestures for searching, swift in-and-out access to Google’s top web apps, and more. The iPad version of Google’s universal app was also updated, but it only includes support for saving images to the tablet’s camera roll since they didn’t feel there was a need for a redesign just yet.
This redesigned app is much more worthy of the iPhone with its minimalistic and beautiful user interface, not to mention fullscreen mode works very nicely. It’s far faster than the previous version of the app as well, allowing you to search quickly and keep going with your other daily duties.
Google Search 2.0 is available for free on the App Store today, so go check it out!
