Leap Brings the Kinect Experience to Your Computer

Have you ever dreamed of controlling your computer like you do your Xbox 360 with Kinect? Well, your dream is about to come true with Leap Motion. Leap wants to liberate you from your mouse by giving you full hands-free control of your computer with their $70 accessory. It’s very similar to Kinect, but is apparently “200 times more accurate than anything else on the market.” If you watch the video above, you’ll likely agree with this claim because it looks to be one of those gadgets that Tony Stark has in his workshop. Keep reading for more details.

The Leap is a small iPod sized USB peripheral that creates a 3D interaction space of 8 cubic feet to precisely interact with and control software on your laptop or desktop computer. It’s like being able to reach into the computer and pull out information as easily as reaching into a cookie jar.

Leap fits with your Mac perfectly, having that beautiful aluminum look that gives it class. But it’s not exclusive to the Mac though. It actually works with Windows 7 and 8 computers, making it completely universal and able to control almost any of the systems that you might have in your home.

As I mentioned above, the unit costs $70, which isn’t too bad for the technology that it has. If you’d like to give it a try, head over to the company’s website and order yourself one. Let us know how you like it!
