iOS Developers Aren’t Concerned About a 4-inch iPhone

Lenny Rachitsky, CEO of Localmind, a social app, on rumors of a 4-inch iPhone:

“We haven’t put a lot of thought into it yet, partly because we assume Apple isn’t going to pull an Android and fragment the device market unnecessarily. If they do, they must have a really good reason to do it, and we’re confident they’ll provide tools to make it easy to migrate. The last thing they want to do is put more friction in front of developers.”

We’ve heard three seperate rumors from iLounge, the Wall Street Journal, and Reuters about Apple working on an iPhone with at least a 4-inch screen, but developers do not appear to be overwhelmingly concerned about the change in display size.
