FastLock: Shortcuts on the Lock Screen

Apple added a quick shortcut to the Camera application on the lock screen in iOS 5, and a new jailbreak tweak called FastLock aims to expand that easy access functionality. FastLock adds a number of shortcuts to your lock screen that allow for you to perform the following actions: call someone, send a message, send an email, post a tweet, add a contact, take a note, set an alarm or timer, and take a photo.

Upon install you won’t see FastLock on the lock screen, since you have to double tap the home button to bring all of these shortcuts up. By tapping a shortcut, your device will be unlocked — unless you have a passcode set, in which case you will be prompted to enter it — and the respective application will open up. Unfortunately you cannot rearrange the shortcuts or disable shortcuts you don’t use as of version 0.1.0. FastLock is available on Cydia from the ModMyi repository.
