Apple Giving Free Copy of OS X Snow Leopard to MobileMe Users

To help MobileMe customers that still use OS X Leopard or earlier in their transition to iCloud, MacGasm has discovered that Apple is offering a free DVD copy of OS X Snow Leopard to these users. This move is intended to help these users make the upgrade to OS X Lion, which can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $29.99 using the latest version of Snow Leopard. iCloud is officially supported on OS X Lion and onwards.

In an article sent to MobileMe customers, Apple has recommended that potential customers get in touch with Apple to receive a free DVD of Snow Leopard so that users can upgrade to Lion, and move to iCloud. All you have to do is follow this link, log in to MobileMe with your Mobile Me account, and fill out your mailing information. Apple will then send you a Snow Leopard DVD for free.

Apple will officially close its MobileMe service on June 30, 2012 to focus on iCloud, which plays an integral role in both OS X and iOS, so now is a better time to upgrade than ever before. This free Snow Leopard program is being offered until June 15th, 2012 for qualifying users only. Which version of OS X are you running on your Mac?
