The Apple II Turns 35 Years Old Today

As noted by Harry McCracken at Time Techland, today is the 35th birthday of the Apple II computer. The good old 8-bit Mac was the now highly-successful Cupertino-based corporation’s second consumer machine. It was introduced at the West Coast Computer Faire that took place from April 16th-17th of 1997.

McCracken gives fourteen ways to celebrate this 35th birthday, from watching a clip taken from The Pirates of Silicon Valley to more distanced activities like Apple’s first office at 20863 Stevens Creek Boulevard in Cupertino, CA. It’s worth a quick read and I’d personally recommend watching The Pirates of Silicon Valley sometime if you haven’t already — it’s a really great film.
