Referring to the new iPad’s crystal clear Retina display as a “new benchmark in excellence,” Consumer Reports has placed Apple’s latest tablet at the top of its new tablet ratings, posted today. The nonprofit consumer group notes that Apple’s new iPad is superb in nearly every aspect, including its 5-megapixel iSight camera, speedy LTE networking, and long battery life.
The report also suggests that the new iPad’s increased heat levels are not cause for concern, while noting that the problem was limited to times when an intensive game was being played at full brightness. Other tablets in the top ten include Toshiba’s new 10.1-inch Excite 10LE, which is the world’s thinnest 10-inch tablet, as well as the dual-screen Sony Tablet P.
