As noted by The Next Web, Apple today updated their listing for the new 4G LTE iPad model on their online Australian store to make it clear that the tablet is not compatible with any LTE or WiMAX networks in Australia. The court in Australia decided that the Cupertino-based corporation would need to comply with the following three key clauses…
- Specifically state in the iPad’s product info both online and in retail stores that the tablet is not compatible with any Australian LTE or WiMAX networks.
- Request that third-party retailers do the same.
- Contact all customers who previously purchased the new iPad notifying them of the incompatibility and offering a refund.
Apple agreed to complete these tasks by April 5th, though they have already began taking action with a simple revision of their online description.
This product supports very fast cellular networks. It is not compatible with current Australian LTE networks and WiMAX networks.
