iPad Facebook App with Retina Support Approaching?

One of MacRumors‘ readers from the United Kingdom noticed that there was a small featured tile in the App Store on his iPad hinting that Facebook may soon release an update to their iPad app adding Retina optimization. While nothing is set in stone just yet, it’s obvious that Facebook will one day update their app for Apple’s latest tablet and also fix some bugs since it was last updated back in December.

Just a week ago, Facebook increased the size of high-resolution photo downloads on their website to 2048 pixels wide, though there was no mention of whether this was for the iPad or not. However, this did allow for users to download their photos at a much higher quality than before, which is nice since some friends are photographers and have photos that are wallpaper-worthy.
