Brief Bits: Apple Adds Contacts Warning to OS X 10.8

Earlier today, Apple seeded the second developer preview of OS X Mountain Lion, which makes its public debut this summer. Among the new changes in the developer-only preview is the addition of a warning when an application is trying to access your contacts. This new feature was likely added because of the Path debacle a few weeks ago, a controversial privacy issue that prompted Apple to address the issue and provide a long term solution. Also uncovered in the new OS X 10.8 preview is Twitter notifications in Notification Center and iCloud in Safari.
