Apple Working on Slimmer 13- and 15-Inch MacBook Pros

According to overseas suppliers that have spoken with the infamous DigiTimes, Apple currently has new, slimmer 13- and 15-inch MacBook Pros in production. The new notebooks are expected to contain more powerful CPUs and have larger storage capacities. Initial monthly shipments are expected to be between 100,000 and 150,000, while supply chain manufacturers will eventually ramp up production to 900,000 monthly units…

These shipments to Apple are expected to begin this month, which could prove timely for an April launch as numerous outlets have suggested lately. This report contradicts earlier rumors about Apple effectively killing the MacBook Pro by launching new MacBook Airs in April. Apple is expected to introduce a radically new lineup of MacBook Pros sometime this year.
