Digg co-founder Kevin Rose and his mobile startup Milk have shutdown Oink, a social app that allowed for you discover and rate specific items instead of places altogether. For instance, you could rate your favorite pizza or drink at a certain restaurant rather than rating the entire eatery itself. Oink debuted just over three months ago and, although it gained 150,000 users in its first month, never really gained any traction in the App Store market. Oink has officially been pulled from the App Store and will no longer function for preexisting users. It’s back to the drawing book for Rose.
