Report: Apple Has New iPads Locked Up in Private Trucks

If you were fast enough to preorder your new iPad for delivery by Friday, March 16th, don’t expect it to be arriving it ahead of that date. The latest word from Cult of Mac claims that, despite the fact that most new iPad shipments are already stateside, Apple has the new tablets locked inside private 18-wheeler trucks on FedEx property…

This means that the chance of getting your new iPad prior to Friday is next to none, as Apple will allegedly keep these trucks locked until Thursday evening. These new shipping precautions taken by Apple appear to be a first, as a handful of lucky people — like this kid — have often got their hands on new Apple products days before launch in the past.
