Apple has officially seeded iOS 5.1 for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. The software update, in addition to providing a number of bug fixes and stability improvements, includes a permanent camera shortcut on the lock screen for iPhone and iPod touch users, a redesigned Camera app for iPad, the ability to delete photos from Photo Stream, and more.
iOS 5.1 is available as a direct download or as an over-the-air delta update on iOS devices, which can be installed by navigating to Settings > General > Software Update and tapping Install Now. Full release notes and direct download links for specific iOS devices is ahead…

- Japanese language support for Siri (availability may be limited during initial rollout)

- Addresses bugs affecting battery life
- Fixes an issue that occasionally caused audio to drop for outgoing calls
