New iPad Gains Siri Voice Dictation

Along with a killer new processor, Retina display, and camera, users of the new iPad will also be able to take very limited advantage of Siri. The so-called “iPad 3″ keyboard now includes a microphone key that allows users to dictate their voice to the tablet for speech-to-text purposes, but the full Siri that we know and love seems to be absent. The voice assistant is still in beta, so it’s possible that Apple is waiting until all the kinks are figured out before releasing it to the millions of new tablet owners. Either way, we’re sure that iPad 3 owners will eventually be able to use Siri without restriction—whether it be from an official iOS update or jailbreak.
