Apple’s New iPad Has Quad-Core A5X Processor

Apple marketing executive Phil Schiller, at a media event today in San Francisco, has announced that the new iPad has a quad-core A5x graphics processor. That’s twice as powerful as the Apple A5 system-on-a-chip that powered the iPad 2. Better yet, according to Apple, it’s four times faster than the Nvidia Tegra 3. “This is the best mobile display that has ever shipped,” Schiller said.
