Reuters has added some last minute speculation to the iPad 3 rumor mill this morning, claiming that Apple is set to launch the next-generation tablet tomorrow with 4G LTE networking capabilities. This report all but reassures earlier claims by the Wall Street Journal and iMore, two independent sources that have also stated Apple’s next-generation iPad will be LTE-capable…
The newest iPad will be capable of operating on a high-speed 4G “LTE,” or Long-Term Evolution network, according to a source familiar with the product. At speeds roughly 10 times faster than current 3G technology, that may go a long way toward banishing the sometimes shaky video quality of older devices.
The iPad 3 is expected to be powered by a quad-core Apple A6 system-on-a-chip processor. Additionally, the tablet is rumored to have a high-resolution Retina Display. Apple will launch the iPad 3 tomorrow at a media event in San Francisco that kicks off at 10 AM Pacific.
