Brief Bits: Apple Retail Employee Steals 25 iPhones

Apple’s new retail store at Northlake Mall in Charlotte, North Carolina hasn’t even been open for one year yet, but has already fell victim to a robbery which involved 25 iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 units stolen over a month-and-a-half period. According to The Charlotte Observer, the suspect was an employee at the store who had access to the storage room where the iPhones were kept. The employee allegedly stole the handsets, valued at over $16,000, between December 1st and January 11th. Local police are currently searching for the suspect involved in the theft.
