The insanely popular iOS game Cut the Rope has made its way to the Mac App Store, released earlier today by developer ZeptoLab. The award-winning, physics-based game has new high-resolution artwork and innovative game mechanics that have been optimized for OS X machines with resolutions up to 2560 x 1440 pixels…
Instead of tapping or swiping as you would do in the iPhone and iPad version of the game, Cut the Rope for Mac has been adjusted with longer reaction times to allow for new rope-cutting strategies by clicking or click-and-dragging. When OS X Mountain Lion is released in late summer, the game will also include support for Game Center on Mac. Cut the Rope can be purchased from the Mac App Store for $4.99.
“We’re thrilled to bring Cut the Rope and Om Nom to MacOS users,” said Misha Lyalin, CEO of ZeptoLab. “Because many of the original levels were adapted or completely remade to suit the experience associated with desktop games, the MacOS version of Cut the Rope is truly unique.”
