Twitter Updates iPhone App with Swipe Shortcut and More

Twitter today updated their iPhone app to bring back a few highly-requested features including the famous swipe shortcut that was in Tweetie, copy and pasting ability for text in tweets, and sharing options like emailing or Read It Later. In addition, they’ve added a confirmation alert when you use the “Find friends” feature of the app. It will now ask you before it uploads your address book to Twitter’s servers. This is of great interest to those who were concerned about their friends’ privacy during the whole “Path is stealing my contacts” event. Twitter for iPhone version 4.1 is available now in the App Store. Check after the break for the full list of changes.
