Mac App Store Sandboxing Deadline Extended Until June 1st

Apple has decided to extend the Mac App Store sandboxing deadline from March 1st to June 1st in order to give developers time to take advantage of the new sandboxing entitlements available in OS X 10.7.3. Sandboxing contains apps to a restricted environment to limit their permissions, and combined with Mountain Lion’s Gatekeeper, will keep OS X safe from malicious programs and rouge apps. If you’re an OS X developer with an app in the MAS, check out the guidelines and make sure to update your application.
