Photos Show iPad 3 as Thicker and More Tapered

Last night, Chinese technology blog M. I. C. Gadget has posted a summary of all iPad 3 rumors in hopes to inform readers of everything that has been taking place over the past few months. Within this roundup are some interesting new photos of what is claimed to be the iPad 3′s aluminum shell; one of the photos can be seen above. The photos not only hint that Apple’s next tablet may be slightly thicker than the current one, but they also confirm the previous report of a slightly more tapered design…

In addition, M. I. C. Gadget assures that the camera hole is “noticeably larger” in this proportioned iPad 3 shell, which further signifies that Apple’s next-generation tablet may indeed include an 8-megapixel camera, as previously reported by Apple Daily. A drastic camera change like this only recently surfaced, which could betoken that such a component modification may not be as likely as the rumored quad-core processor, LTE, and Retina display.

Many reports have claimed that the iPad 3 will be unveiled on Wednesday, March 7th.
