Macotakara: iPhone 6 Launching in Fall 2012?

Japanese hit-and-miss publication Macotakara, known for reporting on a wide variety of rumors, is now calling for a Fall launch date of the so-called “iPhone 6″ handset. Citing their inside sources, the blog claims that the sixth-generation iPhone will launch in September or October, nearly one year following the release of the iPhone 4S.

If this timeline prevails, then Apple would focus on the iPad 3 in the Spring, transition their focus to OS X Mountain Lion in the Summer, and then debut the next iPhone in the Fall ahead of the holiday shopping season. This also contradicts any rumors about Apple launching an iPhone at WWDC 2012, which is expected to take place this June at Moscone West in San Francisco.
