Report: iPad 3 to Have More Tapered Edge, 8 MP Rear Camera

Apple Daily claims that they have been given photos (above) of the iPad 3′s design and also a bit of information through their “special channels.” The Chinese blog asserts that the new iPad will include a more tapered rear aluminum shell and an 8-megapixel rear camera — which sounds a bit far-fetched, as no other reports have claimed this in the past. This alleged shell does match other photos that MacRumors published a few weeks ago, though the lighting is much better in Apple Daily’s captures…

The rest of Apple Daily’s report simply abridges the information from previous reports, saying that the iPad 3 will include a quad-core CPU, a Retina display, and be announced on March 7th. Apple Daily’s track record isn’t a very large one as the only thing they’re known for predicting was the refresh of MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro products back in April of 2010. The report proved to be mostly true, but a few particulars did not.
