AssistantConnect: Siri on Unsupported Devices Without a Proxy

If you don’t yet have Siri on your iPod touch 4th generation, iPhone 4, or other device that’s not an iPhone 4S, then it’s probably because you’re not partial to the┬álabyrinthine setup involved in setting up something like Spire or any other jailbreak tweak that allows you to use Siri over a proxy. Well, luckily for you, jailbreak developer Bilal S. Sayed Ahmad has simplified the process quite a bit with AssistantConnect4S. The tweak allows iPhone 4S operators to send their authentication data to any device that isn’t an iPhone 4S via the express route of email. The beneficiary can then use Siri easily without the need of a proxy…

Please beware that if you are the benefactor of this authentication, then Ahmad recommends that you do not send the data to more than five devices as Apple may detect this malpractice and begin boycotting your iPhone 4S from Siri access and then you’d have to call Apple and say “I’ve made a huge mistake”.

Anyway, once you’ve found this significant person and he has agreed to email you the authentication using AssistantConnect4S on his iPhone, then all you have to do in order to install Siri is download Spire and AssistantConnect from Cydia and open the authentication file with AssistantConnect. Once you’ve done this, all you have to do is talk to Siri.

What are you still doing here? Go find that friend and begin your journey to a more vocal iOS experience.
