Brief Bits: Apple Disabling Siri on Unsupported Devices?

According to 9to5Mac, several users in the jailbreaking community are reporting the inability to use Spire or other custom Siri ports on their jailbroken iPhone 4, iPad, latest iPod touch, or other device that doesn’t officially support the voice recognition feature.

Apparently, Apple is trying to disable Spire and its alternatives by introducing a “SetActivationToken” that renders the aforementioned ports as useless. For now, the workaround solution appears to be deleting “com.apple.assistant.plist” from the iOS filesystem. Does Siri still work on your unsupported iOS device?
