New Operator Profiles Show That iOS 5.1 May Be Released on March 9th

As reported by YourDailyMac, new iPhone operator profiles that were recently released by Apple show that the iOS device manufacturer may release iOS 5.1 on March 9th. The profiles also show that the iOS 5.1 update will be available on the iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch 3G, and iPod touch 4G. According to YourDailyMac, the newly-discovered profiles were intended for operators based in Finland, France, Greece, Japan, and Sweden and since iOS updates usually debut at the same time globally, it would be accurate to expect iOS 5.1 to release on March 9th in the US and Canada as well…

It has previously been rumored that the iPad 3 will launch in early March, so this release date for the next revision of iOS matches up very nicely since Apple traditionally releases a new version of iOS with their new products.

On a side note, if you’re jailbroken, then we recommend saving those SHSH blobs soon so that you don’t get stuck without a future jailbreak. This can be done easily using iFaith orĀ TinyUmbrella.
