Apple’s chief executive Tim Cook responded to an email sent to him from a frustrated customer, regarding the company’s decision to appoint John Browett, known for working at British chains Dixon and Tesco, as Apple’s new Senior Vice President of Retail. In Cook’s response, he refers to Browett as “the best by far,” and here’s why…
I talked to many people and John was the best by far. I think you will be as pleased as I am. His role isn’t to bring Dixons to Apple, [it's] to bring Apple to an even higher level of customer service and satisfaction.
Browett will officially begin work in his new position at Apple in April, and is expected to work on revamping Apple’s retail strategies and continuing to expand the number of brick-and-mortar retail stores that the company operates worldwide. What changes would you like to see in Apple Stores?
