CyanogenMod Interested in Creating Alternative App Store

Koushik Dutta has posted on Google Plus that the Cyanogen team is interested in creating an alternative app store for applications that have been removed from the Android Market, such as emulators, tethering apps, and other root programs. A cut of the profits would go towards the CyanogenMod team to support further development and pay for hardware and servers.

The store would not be CM exclusive, and since tweaks and advancements made by the CM project are widely used in other ROMs, the Android community as a whole would benefit from a better-funded CM team.

So, developers and users, would you list your apps in a CM Store and make purchases through it, instead of the default Android Market?
