AT&T Restructuring Data Plans

Starting this Sunday, AT&T will be restructuring their data plans to accommodate bandwidth hungry users. Currently, the network offers 200MB, 2GB, and 4GB plus tethering plans for $15, $25 and $45 respectively, but the new plans will bump up the allowance by about 50% for a $5 price increase. At 300MB/$20, 3GB/$30, and 5GB plus tethering for $50, you may be paying more overall, but the price per bit is lower—so unlike many of AT&T’s changes, this one actually works in the customer’s favor. Existing subscribers can either stay on their current plan or upgrade as they see fit.
