iH8Sn0w Updates iREB After Ten Months

Canadian hacker iH8sn0w has updated iREB, a tool for installing custom firmware on iOS devices, for the first time in ten months. Release five of the Windows-only utility has a smaller file size, fixes USB 3.0 issues, resolves rare DFU detection issues, and has an “updated limera1n/steaks4uce payload to not hook ‘cmd_go’ on 4.x images.”

Furthermore, iREB has speed improvements for older generation iOS devices including the original iPod touch, original iPhone, and iPhone 3G. iREB is an effective tool for bypassing iTunes errors or recovery loops, and can also grab your SHSH blobs.
