Photography fans will be happy to know that Adobe has just launched the public (and free) beta of the upcoming Lightroom 4. The release features native lossy RAW support for reducing the size of your masters while retaining most of the quality, and improved support for video files. Users can also sort photos using location data and push photos directly to Facebook and other online services using the new publishing tools.
The beta is available for OS X Snow Leopard and Lion, as well as Windows Vista and 7. It expires on March 31st, 2012, but your free to use the beta without restrictions until that time.
