iPad Launched Into Space, Free-Falls Back to Earth

Accessory maker G-Form has created an interesting video in which they send an iPad 2 over 100,000 feet into space by attaching it to a weather balloon. Once the balloon reaches a certain altitude, it pops and the iPad comes free-falling back to Earth quite quickly. G-Form caught the entire drop on video, including the moment of impact, and the iPad was fully functional after hitting some rugged terrain in the rural countryside of Nevada. The purpose of the video is to prove that G-Form’s Extreme Edge sleeve was durable enough to protect the iPad from such a tremendous drop. Pretty interesting.
