Amazon Silk Ported to Non-Kindle Android Devices

XDA member TyHi has managed to port Amazon’s Silk web browser, which was originally designed to run on the Kindle Fire’s heavily modified version of Android, to.. Android. The port has been tested on a Fire running CyanogenMod 7, but users with other devices are also reporting success—although, your mileage may vary. To install, you’ll need to side-load the .apk file to a rooted device running gingerbread (ICS is not currently supported), so inexperienced users should sit tight until a more elegant solution is ready.

Install at your own risk, and if you get it to work, let others know in the comments what device and ROM you’re using.
