If you are looking for a very useful, creative, and well designed iPhone accessory, look no further than the TidyTilt. Designed by two students at the IIT Institute of Design in Chicago, Zahra Tashakorinia and Derek Tarnow, the TidyTilt is not just a magnetic smart cover, but also an earbud cord wrap, multi-position kickstand, and mount for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.
The accessory can be found on Kickstarter, where it has received more than $25,000 in funding already—far exceeding its $10,000 baseline expectations. Better yet, it still has twenty-six days left to collect pledges. I’m not surprised at all, since the TidyTilt is simply awesome. Zahra and Derek were able to take Apple’s Smart Cover concept for the iPad and take it a step or two further.
Thanks to its magnetic strip that attaches to the iPhone, the TidyTilt has great multi-purpose functionality. According to its makers, there is no magnetic interference with the antenna and, thus, no reception issues. A TidyTilt can be yours, including free shipping within the U.S., for a $19 pledge on Kickstarter. International users will have to tack on an additional $10 for shipping.
