iFaith 1.4 Released, Dumps SHSH Blobs for iOS 5.x

iH8sn0w has updated iFaith with support for the lastest version of iOS. The tool dumps the SHSH blobs of the iOS build you are currently running, making it possible to downgrade in the future. iFaith is similar to TinyUmbrella, but due to changes made to the way Apple handles the blob’s cryptography, the latter tool will soon be obsolete. iFaith also preserves the baseband, but keep in mind that A5 powered devices—including the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S—are not supported.

iFaith v1.4 Release notes:

* Now dumps iOS 4.4.x (Apple TV 2)/5.0.x apticket + SHSH blobs!
* Dumping is MUCH faster.
* Full Windows XP support.
* Major code improvements.
* Bug fixes.

You do not need to be jailbroken to use the tool, so it’s a no-brainer if you are even considering the possibility of jailbreaking your device in the future. Since some exploits require that your downgrade to a older version of iOS, keeping your SHSH blobs handy is very good idea.
