CyanogenMod 9 Alpha Released for Nexus S

The CyanogenMod team is working hard to port Ice Cream Sandwich over to a wide array of devices with CM9, and an official release is expected to be made public early 2012. Koush, the main man behind the Nexus S port, has released a surprisingly stable alpha build for the former flagship Google phone. The ROM only has a few bugs, and most major features—including hardware acceleration and tethering—work as expected.

Builds for other devices aren’t quite as mature as the Nexus S alpha, but make sure to follow the porting progress for your device over at XDA.
