iCam Concept: Reinventing the Point-and-Shoot Camera

The iPhone is already considered to be one of the best point-and-shoot cameras, especially on Flickr, and has dramatically improved year-by-year; nonetheless, the Italian designers at ADR Studio want to take the iPhone’s camera one step further with iCam. The concept consists of a third-party accessory that would attach to the iPhone, transforming the handset into a legitimate point-and-shoot camera.

If this concept prevails, Apple would be able to better compete with industry leaders Nikon and Canon. The peripheral would have an aluminum unibody, 10.1-megapixel sensor, full HD video recording at 60 fps, interchangeable lenses, LED flash, Bluetooth, Siri compatibility, ISO range between 100 to 3200, motion sensor, and more.
