Minecraft 1.0 Released, Time to Punch Trees and Take Names

After over two years in beta and four million copies sold, Minecraft has finally hit version 1.0. The release features an actual ending and an impressively long list of changes, including RPG style achievements and goals (also, dragons!). If you previously bought the beta, there is no need to repurchase, but the one or two of you who have somehow managed to resist until now will have to pay the full $26.95 for a license.

If you’re new to the game, head on over to the dedicated forum and check out the iFans community servers.
