It seems that, even after yesterday’s update, some iOS devices have continued to experience battery life issues. iOS 5.0.1 was released yesterday to fix this problem, but apparently it didn’t for a few users. Apple gave out some good news on the matter today.
In a statement given to AllThingsD, Apple said that they would continue to examine the issues pertaining to the lower than average battery life. Apple noted that there were a few remaining problems that needed troubleshooting.
The recent iOS software update addressed many of the battery issues that some customers experienced on their iOS 5 devices. We continue to investigate the remaining issues.
It would be accurate to expect iOS 5.0.2 eventually, but Apple gave AllThingsD no estimated time frame. The company most likely released iOS 5.0.1 swiftly due to the two major security vulnerabilities found in the past month.
